How to Submit
The abstract is submitted in plain text using a web form. The identifying information, such as the names of the author and possible co-authors are input in their own fields. The actual abstract is input in the large "Abstract content" text field, which corresponds roughly to one third of an A4 size paper (10pt Times font, 3cm margins). This one full view of the Abstract content field is a good length for an abstract. The maximum amount of text is 3700 characters, which corresponds roughly to one full A4 size paper (10pt Times font, 3cm margins) with the identifying information and the optional supporting figure.
See the correspondence of the abstract submission form and an A4 paper print in the image below. Click the image to open a larger version. You can also view an example of the A4 paper print version of the abstract in this Word document.
Abstracts should be submitted in plain text; if you need to refer to one supporting image, chart or figure, you should provide a URL (a link) to the location of the image (e.g. jpg, gif, or png file) in the abstract submission form in the field [Figure A]. It is not possible to send or upload your images to us. The location of the image has to be made accessible to us through the Internet and without subscription to any 3rd party services. For example, the freely accessible URL of the Forest Tech logo is "http://www.forest-tech.net/files/up/logos/Forest_Tech_Europe_horizontal_500x87.gif".
Selected oral contributions will be presented as powerpoint presentations.
