G. Ronald Brown Executive Director, Agenda 2020 Technology Alliance, American Forest & Paper Association, USA

G. Ronald (Ron) Brown is Executive Director of the Agenda 2020 Technology Alliance, a special project of the American Forest & Paper Association in Washington, DC, USA. The Agenda 2020 Technology Alliance is an industry-led partnership with government and academia that identifies high-priority technology needs of the forest products industry and facilitates collaborative programs to address these needs.

Prior to becoming Executive Director of Agenda 2020 in early 2008, Ron worked more than 30 years with MeadWestvaco in manufacturing, corporate R&D, and corporate engineering, including 20 years as an R&D Director. Ron is a TAPPI Fellow, and has held leadership positions in several collaborative university programs, including the Empire State Paper Research Institute and the Miami University Paper Science & Engineering Foundation. Ron graduated from North Carolina State University with a B.S., and earned the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from The Insitute of Paper Chemistry in Appleton, Wisconsin, which is now IPST at Georgia Tech.
