Jorma Eloranta M.Sc. (Engineering) has been President and Chief Executive Officer of Metso Corporation since March 1, 2004 and has been a Member and Chairman of the Executive Board since March 1, 2004. Mr. Eloranta served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Kvaerner Masa-Yards Inc in 2001–2004. Previously, he was President and CEO of Patria Industries Group in 1997–2001, Deputy Chief Executive of Finvest Group and Jaakko Pöyry Group in 1996–1997, and President of Finvest Ltd in 1985–1995. Mr. Eloranta is Chairman of the Board at Finnish Section of the International Chamber of Commerce, Chairman of the Supervisory Board at Ilmarinen Mutual Pension Insurance Company and Gasum Oy, Chairman of the Advisory Board at Laatukeskus Excellence Finland and Helsinki University of Technology. Mr. Eloranta is also Board member at Uponor Corporation and Technology Industries of Finland.
