Lars Berglund Professor, Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden

Lars Berglund is a professor of polymer science and engineering at Luleå University of Technology where he supervises a research group of 15 people. His interest is in polymer composite materials based on fibres, particlesor flakes. Current projects include natural fibre composites, nanocomposites, dental composites, novel SMC and GMT materials, woven composites and failure of carbon fibre composites.
He holds degrees from University of Massachusetts and Linköping University, and has been a visiting scientist and professor at Stanford University and Cornell University. He is a member of the board of two research institutes and was recently appointed a member of ingenjörsvetenskapsakademin (IVA).
