Leila Pohjola D.Sc., Senior Advisor, UPM Nanocenter, Finland

Leila Pohjola, D.Sc., is currently Senior Advisor in UPM Nanocenter. Previously she was in External relations as Senior Advisor in 2006-2007. Before UPM, Leila Pohjola was Director of SBA Release in Loparex Oy 2000-2001 and Development director in years 2002-2005. From 1997 to 1999 She was Pilot Plant Director in KCL, and in years 1989-1996 she was Vice President in Paper Converting Division. Before that, she was in development and production management positions in Lohjan Paperi Oy in years 1980-1989.

Leila Pohjola did post graduate and post doctoral researcher in TKK in years 1967-1979. She was visiting scientist in Institut fur Makromolekulare Chemie der Universität Freiburg in Germany on year 1971. In 1983-84 Leila Pohjola Institute of Paper Chemistry, Appleton, Wi, USA, special student
