Peter Axegård Research Director, STFI-Packforsk, Sweden

Peter Axegård has been Research director of STFI-Packforsk in division of fiber, pulp, energy and chemicals since 2002. Doctor Axegård served as Coordinator of the KCL/STFI chemical pulp research program in years 2000 to 2003. From 1995 till 2003, he worked in Axegård Consulting AB. Before that Axegård served in various positions in STFI, including Vice president of Applied research, Research director of Pulp department and project leader for various projects.

Axegård has been specialized in pulp related research. His main research areas has been bleaching of wood , bleach techniques and pulp mill water closure. Lately his research has concentrated on pulp mill biorefining. Axegård has received award for Best High Impact Paper Scholarship from TAPPI and has been honored as TAPPI Fellow.
