Dr. Yaman Boluk Program Leader, Biomass Processing and Bioproducts in Forest Products Business Unit of Alberta Research Council, Canada

Yaman Boluk is the Program Leader of Biomass Processing and Bioproducts in Forest Products Business Unit of Alberta Research Council. He holds Ph.D. (1987) with training on polymer science and engineering from Ecole Polytechnique de Montreal. His research interests include biomass processing to chemicals and polymers. Previously he worked as a research scientist and product development specialist for Optima Specialty Chemicals, Union Carbide Corporation (presently part of Dow Chemical) and Paprican (presently FPInnovations). He has authored and co-authored over 30 scientific and technical papers and 4 US patents. He was past secretary of Canadian Rhelogy Group. He is also member of Sigma Xi Scientific Society, American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE), Technical Association of Pulp and Paper Association (TAPPI), Pulp and Paper Technical Association of Canada (PAPTAC).
